• The birthdate is recorded in the family Bible (whereabouts unknown). A birth certificate was never issued. The date on his passport came from the family Bible. Rita Dar has his passport. He was also visiting San Francisco during the 1906 earthquake when he was two years old.886

• Charles Eckhart [sic] Jr. will continue his studies at Hitchcock Military Academy in San Rafael.477

• Many island friends of the C. F. Eckarts will be interested in the news that their son, Charles Gorham Eckart, was married on July 16, to Miss Josephine Barth, daughter of Mrs. Hermann Barth at San Francisco.
Charles G. Eckart is known to many of the younger set in the islands. His father, C. F. Eckart, was form many years with the Hawaiian Sugar Planters’ experiment station, later manager of Olaa Sugar Co., and widely known as the inventor of the paper mulch process used here in sugar and pineapple agriculture. The son has for several years been connected with R. J. Bidwell Co., Pacific coast newspaper advertising representatives.889

• His biographical sketch of Eckart included such facts as that he was born in Hawaii, helped to manage the Stanford football team, went into outdoor advertising before turning to processing records, and enjoys sailing as a hobby.890
