Samuel King Was Driving and Did Not Heed Warning––Companion is Fatally Hurt
KALAMAZOO, Mich., July 22.––Samuel King was instantly killed and Tony Vitz fatally hurt in a collision between a west bound Michigan Central train and a wagon, two miles east of this city today. King was driving and despite the warning of a flagman tried to cross in front of the train. The wagon was demolished and the two men were hurled fifty feet.1036, p 1

Samuel King, whose death in Kalamazoo was announced in a telegraphic dispatch, published in The Times yesterday, was born near St. Clair, and lived in Port Huron for several years. He was employed at the Fibre works while in Port Huron, but left here about five years ago. His wife is one of the heirs of the Mills estate.1036, p 2
