1372, p 2• The 1815 census shows Daniel with 8 girls and 2 boys.
1354, p 2• As a young girl, she [Annis Nettleton] used to tend bar in her father’s hotel. The Nettleton’s hotel was located in Prescott, which was just across the river from Odgensburg, New York. There was a lot of military action between the two river towns, and before an assault, the British soldiers would steel themselves with a drink at the Nettleton’s bar.

• This cholera epidemic lasted quite awhile and many death notices were in the papers we looked at. Prescott was a port for ships on the St. Lawrence River and that was the source of the disease. One medication we read about was charcoal and oil and if they threw it up, which was rare, just give them another dose.
