Death of a Nonagenarian in Richfield Township.
Mrs. Abigail Fellows died at 4:30 Wednesday afternoon at the home of her son, H. G. Fellows, in Richfield, at the advanced age of 94 and 12 days. Deceased’s maiden name was Backus and she was the daughter of a revolutionary war soldier and was born in Connecticut. In 1814 she became a resident of western New York and made her home there until she came to Richfield to live with her son six years ago. She had been in failing health for the past several years.1848, p 2

• No Richard Fellows in Clarkson or Old Brockport cemeteries.1861

• I’ve searched the Fellows material that I have available, and am sorry to say that I have nothing at all that would help identify the Richard you’re looking for.
I do think that all those with the Fellows surname who were in Connecticut before 1800 were descendants of William of Ipswich. But, as you know, the name Richard is not at all common in that group. I know nothing further about the Richard born 1785, son of Philemon.1862
