• He embarked in ship Francis, from Ipswich for New England, under the care of William Freeborn. His age was called fourteen, which was not exact, but as near as was often the case in making returns to the officials.1788, p 8

• To daughter Elizabeth Congdon 50s. in silver money (at 17 pwt.), a bolster case, pair of sheets and two pewter platters.1788, p 10

• He came in ship Francis to Massachusetts in care of William Freeborne, (who four years later was among those who first settled Portsmouth, R. I.) 1639. John Albro’s name first appears on records of Portsmouth, he being granted a lot if he would build within one year.1982, p 87

• The above account of his public service shows that Maj. John Albro was a man of quite some prominence in the affairs of the Colony of Rhode Island.1977, p 25
