Hercules to Plymouth Colony in New England, and settled initially in Charlestown, where he taught the grammar school; rem. to Cambridge; rem. (1638) to Duxbury, Mass., where he preached for a while before accepting a call to become minister at the Second Church of Scituate on Sept. 2, 1644, where he remained for the rest of his life.
