• George F. Peck was born in Vermont, in 1802. In 1824 he married Eliza Page, of Sweden, Monroe county, by whom he had five children, four of whom are living. His second wife, who, as his widow, survives him, was Miss Philinda Hamlin, whose parents came from Vermont to Warsaw in 1814. By this marriage one daughter was born to him. Mr. Peck was the owner of a farm of ninety acres in Castile, where he came in 1841, from Sweden, Monroe county, and died in 1861. He early identified himself with the Methodist church, of which his widow is a devout member.
