Individual Notes
• A SAD LOCAL TRAGEDY
The home of Mr. and Mrs. George O'Brien is in mourning, and the entire community is saddened by the death of Albert O'Brien at El Paso, Texas, who was shot last week by a foot pad [sic] who held him up, and shot him when he would not submit immediately. He lingered between life and death for several days at the hospital and died Sunday night. The body was brought here for burial arriving Wednesday morning. He is the first of a family of ten, seven daughters and three sons; to be claimed by death, which made the occasion doubly sad to the aged parents.2095, Meriden Ledger, 27 Apr 1917
