Individual Notes
• Andrew’s sister, Mary, had homesteaded a place near Huron, California [Fresno County, near Lemoore]. She and her husband, James Hansen, had built a small house and attempted some farming. Unable to have children of their own, James and Mary adopted a little boy who was named for his father. Unfortunately, James Sr. was killed in a motorcycle accident leaving Mary with the homestead and baby Jimmy. It was discovered that there was oil in the area and Mary saw a way to ease her situation. She leased the oil rights to J.P. Getty. Later she sold the property, retained the oil rights, and moved to Redwood City. The money received from the farm and the oil gave her a lifestyle she had never before known. She bought a nice new car and house, and for the first time in her life, she had money.3409, p 39

• Living at 222 Lowell Ave., Redwood City in 1936 (and presumably for at least 10 years prior) as per Death Certificate for Margaret Andersen for which Mary was informant. Living in Fresno, on Fair between Maple and Chance (presumably) as per Death Certificate3402 for Jens Andersen who died August 1, 1925 and had lived at that location for 4 years. Mary was the informant.

• Converted to Mormonism.3431, p 2
