• He moved at 19 with brother David in October 1833 to St. Clair County, Michigan. In 1842 he and brother John bought father’s sawmill in Ruby. They also had “J & J Brickyard” in Clyde. He moved to Detroit in 1845 and had a lumberyard and started Fire Engine Co. #7 in Redford. In 1853 he returned to Port Huron and bought in 1856 the Whitmon Mill. Home was 2425 Military St., Port Huron.3009
