He owned and operated a planing mill at Baraboo, Wisconsin, later engaged in themanufactured of hubs and spokes at St. Clair, and subsequently was a capitalist in various enterprises. For years, Mr. Hopkins took an active interest in the business life of St. Clair, and served acceptably as a Alderman and as Mayor.
