• Isaac was the name of his father and of one of Gerrit's sons, Isaac G. Graveraet (this son is not published about much and I do not have a lot of information on him - I believe he died in the War of 1812.  But he was referred to as Jacob Harsen's grandson in his petition to the British government's land board when he sought a private claim for the island in 1790- and he is also referred to in old deeds of record when the island was split up between his children and his one granddaughter Mary Graveraet by agreement as accepted by the Detroit Land Board in 1820).
