• Jane E. McQueen is listed as an adopted daughter of Capt. Samuel Ward - doubtless related closely to the rest of the McQueens - but I’ve not yet discovered the relationship.1624

• Santa Clara Twp. rolls for 1910 show Jane E. Ward Gallagher, head of family, age 79, residing on Los Gatos Road and operating a prune orchard. Living with her are David C., Helen H., Fred E., and Emily W. Gallagher. None of these ever married, according to later Santa Clara cemetery records. The house was a large Victorian on the Los Gatos-Santa Clara Road, probably near its present intersection with Interstate 280. David, Sr. dropped from sight, and we have found no records of the deaths of Jane, David C., or Emily.1500, p 6
