• George Mills, son of David and Rebecca Mills married Phoebe ___?___. In 1794 George, his wife Phoebe and two children took passage from New York in a vessel bound for Saint John, New Brunswick. George died on the vessel before it landed in Saint John and was buried in Saint John. His widow and children then came to Nova Scotia and lived for some time with her father-in-law, David Mills, and later married a man by the name of ___?___ Crawford and of them have no information. In 1818 Phoebe went to Iona, Ontario.1410, p 4

• In 1794 their [David and Rebecca Mills] eldest son, George, his wife Phoebe and children, David and Nathaniel, five and three years of age, took passage from New York in a vessel bound for Saint John, N. B. George Mills died on board before the vessel landed and was buried at Saint John.1356

• George, grandfather of Hon. David, with his wife and two children started from New York for Nova Scotia in 1794. He died on the passage and was buried at St. John, N. B. and his wife came to her father’s.627, p 8
