• Samuel Nettleton, an immigrant ancestor, was one of the men who bought (Totoket) Branford, for a settlement, they came to occupy their purchase early in 1644. Most of the settlers were from Wethersfield. He died in Fairfield, Connecticut 1655 or 1656. His wife's name was Maria -----. She died in Branford, October 29, 1658.1477
