• The 1900 Census finds them in Colorado Springs, CO, with John C. Gallagher a lumberman and son John Melville, age 19, a bookkeeper.1500, p 8

• Then in 1920 John C and Mary L show up in the census of San Diego, living at 2241 Second Ave (with all the right places of birth for them and their parents, so we know this is them).2730
