• On 3 December 1711, probably at Plainfield, Ephraim married a woman whose first name was Mary. She was probably born about 1692, died at Canaan 16 december 1774. Ephraim moved from Ipswich to Plainfield with his parents, then to Canaan in northwestern Connecticut about 1738-40. The westward trek was already underway.1855, p 22

• He followed his brother John to Plainfield, Connecticut, where he married and remained for a number of years, was there previous to 1709. He removed from there to Canaan, Connecticut where he settled, and died 1757.1854, p 95
