Marriage Notes
• Elvira’s daughter, Henrietta, from her marriage to William R. Mayfield, was a fairly famous trouper of the early 20th century repertory theater along with her second husband, John Joseph Lawlis. Henrietta’s stage name was Etta Delmas. Etta and John Lawlis worked at the Empress Theater in Vancouver, Canada as well as many other places. This then helps to explain why Daniel and Elvira were married married in Vancouver and why the witness’ of their marriage were listed with addresses of the Empress Theater.1942, p 4

• Their place of residence in 1920 was Albany, Oregon.1940
